Hello all. Occasionally when I am running openbook it will come up with one of those dialogs that says such and such has encountered problems and needs to close, send or don't send. Well anyways after I pick my option it keeps openbook running, but the speach is gone and not only do I have to restart openbook, but a whole restart of the pc is the only way to fix this. Should I try a full reinstall of openbook? Thanks.

Troy, it sounds like it's the speech engine causing the crash. If it's possible and i don't know openbook well(were a kurzwill shop) I would try and uninstall the speech engine and reinstall it. I belive it's IBM ViaVoice. My questions to you would be when did this start and what were you doing before this happened. Did you install or uninstall anythinkg related to speech engines? The fun is trying to track down an error like this so i always try to find out what has changed that might have caused the problem. If you do a complete uninstall make sure you also manually delete the folders. usually uninstalations don't take everythinkg with them. Good luck and I hope you will post your results.

Thanks, and yeah it's the IBM via voice. I'm not sure how to seperately remove it without messing up the whole program so may remove it all. I did nothing, this just started happening.
